We had a very special location for this intimate night of virtuosic music with outstanding artists - the beautiful gallery of the Kosciuszko Foundation Townhouse. The group played Gershwin’s string quartet, the famous Brahms string quintet with two violas (Op.111), and Ravel’s masterwork duet for violin and cello. Another highlight of the concert was music played on the rarely-seen viola d’Amore, a 6-7 string instrument popular in 18th Century Europe.
